They say that the people you love the most are also the ones who are capable of angering you the most. Nobody could press my buttons like cousin Bob. When we were kids, we used to play the Lone Ranger and Tonto. He always made me be Tonto. I got tired of that crap! I said "Hey man, how come I always gotta be the damn Indian?" In our 20's we worked for our fathers, and one stinking hot day we were assigned the job of shoveling a large pile of street stones on Quaker Lane. We had trouble wrapping our minds around the job at hand, and there was this pond next to the road... with a rowboat tethered to the dock. So with the bosses out for lunch, we took a little tour in that rowboat. I can still hear Bob giggling when our fathers' car came flying down the street and they caught us goofing off redhanded. Their expressions were priceless. Think the happiest I ever saw Bob was at Connie Mack stadium in late 50's when Happy the Clown pulled an ice cream cone out of Bob's ear between innings. Didn't help the Phils any, they lost again. Man, that was exciting waiting around all day for our fathers to get home from work to take us to a ballgame. Only 8 blocks from Temple, it was all street parking, and our pops would have to tip the locals $1 to "watch" the car during the game. Unsatisfactory tips could result in a flat tire after the game.
